Professor:
Ken Intriligator, Mayer Hall 5234. Office hours Tues 4-5pm.
In class final exam, Thursday Dec 13, 11:30-2:30 pm. Bring one (standard sized) page of formulae, front and back. No formulae sheet will be given on the exam.
Suggested study exercises for the final: questions 1 and 2 here.
Text: The lectures will largely follow these free, online notes:
Some HW exercises will be assigned from Peskin and Schroeder, which is also highly recommended.
Office hours: Tuesdays, 4-5pm.
Highly recommended book for advanced QFT topics Coleman's Aspects of Symmetry
Course Times
:MW 12:30-1:50pm, MHA 2623. Final: Thursday 12/13/12, 11:30-2:30
Homework: It is essential to do your exercises. Many of the assigned problems have solutions that can be found online -- try to resist that, it's cheating both yourself, and it is technically, officially cheating. Working together in groups is fine, and encouraged, as long as everyone is working.
Homework: Homework: 50%, final 50%.
