Lectures: Tues. & Thurs. 9:35 to 10:55, Mayer Hall 4322 Text: "Classical Electrodynamics," by Jackson. Other suggested references: Landau and Lifshitz, "Classical Theory of Fields," and "Electrodynamics of Continuous Media." Course grade will be based on weekly assignments (20%), a midterm (20%) and a final exam (60%). FINAL EXAM: FRIDAY JUNE 15, 8am-11am. Bring any notes which you yourself have written (no books or copies of others notes, i.e. no copies of the downloaded lecture notes on the web, please. Also, no old problem sets (in case I recycle some problems..)). |
